Brett Davis

Brett DavisBrett Davis is a life coach to 14-24 year olds. He speaks to churches, schools, and other organizations about leadership and communication. Brett also works with teen addicts as they transition from residential regeneration programs back to the real world. He has joined forces with two metro Atlanta school systems to help students with learning disabilities and public speaking coaching. Brett and his wife, Heather, reside and minister to middle school students in Cumming, GA.

David Colston

David ColstonDavid Colston has been seeking to impact teenagers since he became a Christian in 1988. He has worked with youth in various roles from speaking at retreats and conferences, directing summer youth rallies for his community, leading international mission trips, being a Youth Pastor in two different churches and planting a church. He is presently a Youth Specialist and Teacher at the Habersham Christian Learning Center (where he teaches Christian ethics, morals, and values to public high school students for elective credit). He is also in transition with the Navigators ministry where he seeks to mentor teenagers and coach those who want to do the same.

He graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1991 and has some graduate studies classes under his belt from Reformed Theological Seminary and Toccoa Falls College Graduate Studies program. Personally, David is crazy about his wife Sandy, whom he married in 1993, his lovely daughter Brooke, and their black Labrador Retriever, Savannah. He loves watching the Georgia Bulldogs, fishing in his free time, and riding bikes with his girls.



Roger Palmer

Roger PalmerRoger has been involved in Youth Ministry since 1979. He received his Masters degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1987.

He has helped equip and train Youth Ministers, Teenagers, College Students, Parents and Youth Leaders all over the United States as well as in Romania, Africa, Russia, Canada, and Mexico. His love for Christ, as well as Christ's call upon his life, has allowed Roger to make these investments so they all can be "Jesus Focused" in their lives and ministries.

Roger has been on staff with Reach-Out Youth Solutions since 2004 as the National Director of Jesus Focused Youth Ministry. His passion for Christ and for others is contagious and he has seen God work wonders in peoples lives and ministries all over the world.


Bill Winton

Bill WintonBill Winton has been the Jr. High and College Pastor of Christian Family Chapel in Jacksonville, FL since January of 2000. After graduating from Columbia International University in 1989, he was a Jr. High Bible teacher at Grace Christian Academy in Jacksonville and then spent eight years as Jr. and Sr. High Youth Pastor at Waxhaw Bible Church in North Carolina.

Bill is married to Denise and adores his four precious children Kent, Ian, Anna and Eric.


David Grant

David GrantDavid has been actively involved in pastoring families for 20 years. He served as the Associate Pastor of Youth at Eastwood Baptist Church in Chattanooga for almost 11 years and recently served at Perimeter Church (PCA) in Atlanta as Senior High Pastor. Currently he is equipping and encouraging youth ministry around the southeast as the southeastern coordinator for the National Network of Youth Ministries.

His passions include discipleship, life on life community, helping churches develop strategic ministry and communicating Biblical truth to a variety of audiences in a clear and creative manner.

In his spare time you will probably find him on the roads riding his bicycle. He holds a degree in Biblical Studies from Bryan College and has 4 children with his wife Julie. They live in Inving, Texas.

Lance Mayes

Lance MayesLance Mayes is from College Station, Texas. Lance loves teenagers and their families. He has served with them in churches in Texas since 1994 and has served as youth minister at First Baptist Church in College Station since 2000. He has a passion for seeing teenagers be life-long servants of Jesus. He also loves people who work with teenagers and wants to help them find joy and success in their ministry.



Mark Steimer

Mark SteimerMark Steimer Serves as a middle school youth pastor in Knoxville TN at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. He has been a youth pastor for just over 20 years (Sharron PA, St Louis MO, and Greenville NC). Mark Loves his wife and four children and is grateful for the opportunity to be a father/ husband first and a student pastor second. Mark has a passion for discipleship that includes opportunities for students to use their gifts in ministry.



Dr. Terry M. McIlvain

Terry McIlvainTerry, or "T. Mac" as he is know throughout his ministry area of Kansas and Nebraska, has been involved with students, youth leaders and parents since God called him to his first youth leadership position in 1970. He has served local churches in Oklahoma, Kansas and Arizona. His current position is as the Director of Youth Ministries for the Kansas/Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists in Topeka, Kansas where he has served for over 26 years.

T.Mac is passionate about helping youth, youth leaders and parents reach their full potential as fully devoted Christ followers in their respective roles. T. Mac holds degrees from Wichita State University in Wichita, KS, Midwestern Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO and Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. He is married to Ginger and they have 3 married daughters and 6 grandchildren.



Mike Brister

Mike Brister is the Associate Pastor/Students at First Baptist Church, Brookhaven, MS. where he has served the last 10 years. He has been involved in Student Ministry for over 20 years. He has a passion for youth discipleship and equipping student workers. His lead-team philosophy of ministry has become a model for involving adults in overall leadership of Student Ministry. He loves sitting down with young youth ministers and helping them reach their full potential.

He just celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife and best friend, Debbie. His son, Josh (23) is leading worship at a new church plant on the campus of the University of Miami at Ohio. His daughter, Jessica (16) is a beautiful dancer and a more beautiful person.


North Carolina

AJ Main

AJ Main AJ has been involved with student ministry for over 10 years. He has served at Calvary Baptist Church in Gastonia for 7 years and is currently serving at South Point Baptist Church in Belmont, NC. AJ also has several years of experience in both teaching and coaching, in the private school sector.

His strongest passion for ministry is mentoring students and adults in their faith walk, building maturity, unity, and accountability in Christ through Bible study times and one on one interaction. AJ also enjoys communicating the truth about the Lord Jesus to various ages.

In his free time AJ enjoys playing softball and coaching local athletics when time permits. However, what AJ enjoys most is the time he spends with his family, his beautiful wife (Bria), daughter (Ayden), and son (Aaron).



Brett Carl

Brett CarlBrett Carl has been doing student ministry for the past 12 years. He has spent most of that time in his current role at Westminster in Suffolk, VA a church of around 1,000. He and his wife Debra have 3 girls: Caitlin, Riley and Addison. Brett has a passion for student leadership, missions and other youth leaders.

Matt Luchenbill

Matt LuchenbillMatt has been the Youth Ministries Director at Westminster Church in Suffolk, VA since August of 2008. While at Covenant College, just outside of Chattanooga, TN, he served as the Youth Director at St. Elmo Presbyterian Church. While he was in college in met and married his wonderful wife, Michelle. Matt has served as a Youth Director, since graduation from college in 1998, at West End Presbyterian Church in Hopewell, VA, for about a year, and then at East Cobb Presbyterian Church in Marietta, GA from April of 1999 until he came to Westminster. Along the way, Matt and Michelle have had 4 children, Andrew, Ashley, Sarah, and Emily. In addition to serving at the local church level, Matt has lead and taught at many camps, conferences, and retreats. His passion is to see students get the gospel, begin to live it out and to serve and help other Youth Ministers.

Tim Downey

Tim DowneyTim Downey has had extensive experience in youth ministry in both the U.S. and Europe. He serves as a professor in youth ministry at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. Tim is involved in coaching youth pastors in the Chicago area and beyond. In addition, he travels both nationally and internationally to speak to youth and youth leaders.

On a personal level, Tim loves spending time with his beautiful wife and three girls. They enjoy being in the great outdoors together. When that is not an option, a classic movie with a community bowl of popcorn is a creative alternative!



Mark Haug

Mark HaugMark has an amazing wife, Rose, with whom he has been married for 21 years. They have two beautiful daughters. Mark grew up in Naperville, IL but currently lives just 30 northwest of Washington, DC in Urbana, Maryland. He has a Bachelors degree in Child & Family Counseling from National Lewis University in Lombard, IL and has studied Master of Divinity coursework at Trinity Seminary in New Port Richey, FL in addition to Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL. Mark has been involved in Student Ministry for more than 21 years. He has ministered in Florida, Illinois, and Maryland. Mark has been on staff at Community, Presbyterian, Baptist, and Evangelical Free churches. In 2001 he joined the staff of Seneca Creek Community Church, Gaithersburg MD where he currently serves on the executive team as the Student Ministries Pastor.

His passions are his family and student ministry. In his free time, Mark likes to cruise the landscape with his wife on their motorcycle. He also enjoys fencing (as in sword fighting) as well as the opportunity to encourage others who also serve in student ministry.

Mark's LIFE PURPOSE STATEMENT is: I am an enthusiastic and faithful learner, leader, husband and father who encourages and inspires people (especially students) towards a life of hope possibility and influence that is centered on truth.
